Membership

Enhancing the graduate experience for Black students at The University of Alabama

AAGSA membership is open to all students enrolled at the University of Alabama who are interested in supporting the aims and goals of AAGSA. There shall be the following categories of individual membership:

Full membership and Affiliate membership.

Full Membership

To be eligible for full membership with voting privileges, a person must (1) be a student currently enrolled in a graduate or professional program at the University of Alabama, (2) accept the terms of the Constitution of the AAGSA, (3) pay semester dues in an amount specified by the executive board members, and (4) be present during at least three meetings and/or functions per semester.

Affiliate Membership

To be eligible for affiliate membership, a person must (1) be an undergraduate, graduate, faculty, or person who has a personal or professional interest in graduate and/or professional education and (2) accept the terms of the Constitution of the AAGSA. Affiliate members do not have voting privileges.

 

 

AAGSA is a member supported organization. 

 

In order to continue providing the programming and resources that we have in the past, we need your continued support in the future. 

Dues are $10 for the school year and $5 for each semester (Fall and Spring) which can be paid by check, cash, or through cashapp.

Regardless of the payment method, please put AAGSA Dues and your name in the memo line.
